Meliá Hotels & Resorts named best resort brand
Meliá Hotels & Resorts, the most international brand of Meliá Hotels International, has been named World’s Best Resort Brand at the World Travel Awards.
The awards were created in 1993 to recognise, reward and celebrate excellence in the travel and hospitality industries, and are considered the “tourism industry Oscars”.
The Spanish-based brand – parent to timeshare business Club Meliá – includes more than 100 urban hotels and resorts in leading tourist and business destinations of Europe, Asia, Africa and America.
As part of its innovation philosophy, passion for service and its new position, Meliá Hotels & Resorts has been reinvented to offer unforgettable experiences, adapted to the profile and the specific needs of every traveller.
The company considers it a unique brand, in which design, personalised service, sensorial experience and author cuisine play a key role as differentiating elements of its identity. The latest award again demonstrates the Meliá commitment to quality and excellence.
In addition, Meliá Braco Village, the brand’s first hotel in Jamaica, was also recognised at the World Travel Awards as the Best New Island Resort in the global category.
With 232 spacious rooms and suites, the five-star hotel has an extensive and varied range of dining and leisure options thanks to its six restaurants and three bars. Guests also have access to two swimming pools and a great choice of activities. The hotel also provides a business centre and two function rooms specially designed for meetings and events, and ideal for small and medium-sized groups.
