Resort cheers schoolchildren with Lego donation
A group of students at Vasse Primary School in Western Australia received a special delivery of Lego recently thanks to Ramada Resort by Wyndham Dunsborough.
Staff from the resort visited Class 20 to donate Lego models that had been created as part of Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific’s inaugural CARE Day, which encourages the company’s employees to show care for each other, their customers and the wider community.
Resort general manager Damien Keenan said the project had a positive impact on both his staff members and students at the local school.
“Lego kits were provided to us by Wyndham Destinations’ CARE committee and my team wholeheartedly embraced the challenge of building something together knowing it was going to be donated to local kids,” he said.
“I was proud to see how enthusiastic our staff were to be involved, and the Class 20 school pupils with their teacher Ms McDonald were so delighted when we delivered the finished products.
“It’s fantastic to think we are able to contribute to our local community, while also building meaningful connections within the team through an activity such as this.”
Ramada Dunsborough actively contributes to the local community through its support of local charitable organisations and the Take 3 for the Sea programme.
The resort, located on the beachfront overlooking Geographe Bay, is also a long-time host of the Margaret River Wine Show.
