Wyndham Destinations opens office in Philippines
Wyndham Destinations has opened a purpose-built regional office in Clark Freeport, Pampanga, to support its expanding Philippines-based team and growth across Asia Pacific.
The P150-million office building can accommodate up to 800 staff, operating morning and evening schedules. It features expansive working areas, seven meeting pods, four training rooms, a café-style canteen, and a games room.
Barry Robinson, president and managing director of International Operations, Wyndham Vacation Clubs, said the opening was an exciting milestone for the company and gave the regional support team a new, permanent home.
“Our Philippines team has an important function, serving our four other corporate offices across Asia Pacific, along with 20 preview centres across the region and our ever-expanding management portfolio,” he explained.
Global growth
“It also recently began supporting the global headquarters in the USA. With Wyndham Destinations’ evolving customer base around the world, our Clark office will continue to support the company’s growing global footprint.”
More than 50 people attended the official opening ceremony, including Robinson, Australia-based Liam Crawley, chief financial officer, Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, along with representatives from the company’s global headquarters.
Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific began in Clark in 2016 with five employees and, in just three years, has grown its local workforce to more than 300 team members.
“Clark is the perfect location for this regional office, because of the talented and multilingual professionals, thriving business landscape, minimal congestion and well-connected public transport system it offers,” said Robinson.
The new Wyndham Destinations building also boasts numerous green features and policies such as LED lighting, eco-friendly furniture, waste segregation and recycling programmes.
Sustainability initiatives
The work supports the company’s other sustainability initiatives, such as eliminating the use of both balloons and single-use straws, in an effort to reduce consumption of single-use plastic through its WYNDGreen programme.
“Wyndham Destinations is excited to bring this major investment to the Philippines and to increase our commitment to the city of Clark,” added Robinson.
“We are grateful for our talented and dedicated team and are excited to deliver a modern and inspirational working environment, which is conducive to creativity, collaboration and professional development.”
