WOW air launches cut-price fares to California
Icelandic budget carrier WOW air has announced new fares from Bristol to Los Angeles and San Francisco in California, priced from just £139.
The new fares offer travellers in South West England the perfect excuse to escape the winter chill and jet off to warmer weather, and equate to an incredible 2.5 pence per mile of travel based on journey from BRS-LAX.
The fares are available to book for departures until the end of March, with limited seats available.
Skúli Mogensen, the airline’s founder and CEO, said: “WOW air’s goal is to enable everybody to fly by offering the lowest fares on the market.
“It’s exciting to be driving change in the industry and to stimulate the market by offering these super low fares across the Atlantic. I am very proud that by offering £139 fares we are enabling thousands of people to travel and experience this vibrant part of the world, that otherwise could not afford it.”
Flights depart Bristol Airport for San Francisco and Los Angeles twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, with a brief stopover at the airline’s hub in Reykjavik en-route. Travellers wanting to experience Iceland can also stopover for up to a week at no extra charge.
WOW air currently flies from three UK departure points – London Gatwick, Bristol and Edinburgh – and serves 30 destinations across Europe, America and Canada. Notable recent route announcements include Miami (from April 2017) and Pittsburgh (commencing June 2017).
