RCI and The Registry Collection Program members to experience Cirque du Soleil through new Grupo Vidanta properties
RCI and The Registry Collection exchange networks have welcomed two new properties from Grupo Vidanta – The Cascades and Kingdom of the Sun – scheduled to open in 2018.
The new resorts will offer unforgettable vacations in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, built around a first-of-its kind Cirque du Soleil theme park.
The properties will be intertwined with the Cirque du Soleil theme park, the only attraction of this kind in the world. Here, travelers can move beyond spectatorship to become characters within the park’s interactive stage and experience Cirque as never before. The park will include several themed sections that feature live performances, entertaining rides with a unique cirque spin and adventuresome games and challenges.
An onsite cirque school can take the participation even further. Here, travelers will be able to learn some of the physical and entertainment skills they see in the Cirque du Soleil shows from the performers themselves, ranging from acrobatic feats to learning how to apply other-worldly stage makeup. In doing so, travelers will get a taste of what it is like to actually be a part of a Cirque du Soleil performance.
Ricardo Montaudon, president and executive director of RCI Latin America, said: “We are extremely proud to welcome these two new affiliated resorts as part of what I believe will be a historical game changer with the first Cirque du Soleil theme park.
“This is a great alliance with Vidanta, one of the largest Latin American tourism resort developers. This will allow us to offer new and exciting vacation experiences for our subscribing members around the world.”
Kingdom of the Sun, the property affiliated with The Registry Collection program, will be a golden palace providing luxury accommodations at the doorstep of the theme park and the unique cirque school. The Cascades, affiliated with RCI, will be a gorgeous spa resort that will provide immersive cirque experiences with each room overlooking the park itself.
Ivan Chavez, Grupo Vidanta’s executive vice president, said: “At Vidanta, we are glad to continue strengthening our strategic alliance with RCI as the world’s largest global exchange company, with whom we’ve had a long history of over 40 years of growing together, by offering our mutual members the highest standards in quality and service.
“Eleven years ago with the creation of The Registry Collection program, we were able to boost our luxury segment by affiliating our properties with the strongest luxury exchange program in the market. Our mutual goal is to enhance our guests’ experiences and redefine what a vacation is all about.”
